Meet Your Instructor: Hank Haney
As a World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame inductee, PGA National Teacher of the Year, and coach to over 200 Tour professionals, Haney’s proven "ball flight" philosophy simplifies the game so you can become your own best coach. By pairing his exclusive video instruction with the TORC Swingtrainer, you can bypass complex overhauls and build a repeatable, powerful, Tour-level swing right from your own home or driving range.
POSITION 1: Above the Hosel (Build Speed & Power)
- Where to place it: Secure the TORC just above the clubhead/hosel.
- How it works: This adds resistance to the bottom end of the club, acting as a dynamic weight trainer.
- The Drill: Take slow, deliberate practice swings, focusing on full body rotation. This stretches large muscle groups, unlocks explosive core power, and builds maximum clubhead speed.
POSITION 2: At the Balance Point (Lock in Your Swing Plane)
- Where to place it: Wrap TORC directly onto the middle/balance point of your club shaft.
- How it works: Centering the weight forces you to feel the true path of the club giving you instant feedback.
- The Drill: Execute smooth half and full swings. Hank's video will guide you on how to let this balanced weight keep your club perfectly on-plane.
POSITION 3: Above the Grip (Squaring the Club)
- Where to place it: Attach the TORC right below your hands, just under the golf grip.
- How it works: Counter-weighting the clubhead neutralizes the clubs natural tendencies. Training at this point, then removing will enhance the feeling of what the club is doing at impact.
- The Drill: Focus on initiating your downswing with your lower body while keeping your hands relaxed.
Note: The TORC Swingtrainer is an advanced conditioning and muscle-memory tool designed for dedicated practice swings. For safety and the best results, it is highly recommended to use it for warm-ups and rhythm drills without striking real golf balls.
